Each room at The Chadwick Bed & Breakfast has its own special charm—it is difficult for us to tell you which room is our favorite because they all have things we love. Although the house was built in 1891, you’ll enjoy modern amenities from our guest room renovations in 2009. Each guest room features its own private bathroom, new memory-foam beds, crisp bed linens, flat screen cable televisions with DVD players, iron/ironing boards, hairdryers, the softest bathroom towels, and fresh terry cloth robes. Two rooms feature fireplaces and in the summer, each room is comfortably air-conditioned. As a special treat, guests staying in The Baxter can enjoy spring, summer, and fall nights on their own private deck overlooking the backyard garden. The outdoor garden features a cast iron fire pit, a hammock for two, Adirondack chairs, and a bubbling fountain. Breakfast is served in our charming dining room at private tables for two or outside on the patio on warm sunny morning. The living room is perfect for hosting local friends and family, to read the morning paper, or borrow a DVD from the movie library. Our business nook is perfect for print boarding passes or driving directions and the rocking chairs on the front deck is a perfect place to read a book. With only eight guests staying at The Chadwick Bed & Breakfast each night, common spaces are perfect for meeting new friends, sneaking away for some relaxation, a glass of wine, or a little romance.

Reservations: The Chadwick Bed & Breakfast is the closest accommodations to Maine Medical Center and is within walking distance to Mercy Hospital. If you are visiting family or friends, please call for emergency reservations. A first-night deposit (plus tax) is required to secure your reservation and will be billed to your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Diner’s Club credit card. We do not accept American Express at this time. The remainder of your balance is due at check-in and can be paid with credit card, traveler’s checks, or cash. Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been successfully processed and a confirmation has been sent to the email address you provide. Check-In time is 2pm to 6pm Check-Out time is before 11am Cancellation Policy & Refunds: At The Chadwick Bed & Breakfast, we understand that life can sometimes throw curve balls and plans can unexpectedly change. To ensure you have a room when you arrive, we strongly suggest making an advance reservation especially in the high season (May-October). We make many preparations, including purchases and scheduling our staff, based on confirmed reservations. Cancellations affect us greatly, therefore we ask you to agree to the following cancellation policy at the time of booking: If your plans change after your reservation is confirmed, cancellation notice is required 14-days in advance of your arrival date. With a 14-day or greater advance notice, we will refund your credit card any deposit(s) made minus a $25 cancellation fee for each individual guest room reserved. The $25 cancellation fee also applies to changes in your arrival/departure date that result in a shorter stay. Reservations cancelled less than 14-days prior to your arrival date, will be charged in-full on the original date of arrival, unless we are able to re-book your room(s) with another party. We will make every effort to re-book your room(s) and will refund any room(s) we are able to re-book minus a $25 cancellation fee for each guest room reserved. All canceled reservations, regardless of notice or reason, will be charged a $25 minimum cancellation fee. No refunds are provided for late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows. Other Policies: For the health and safety of our guests, smoking is not allowed inside or anywhere on The Chadwick property. Only two guests per room—no exceptions. For the comfort of all guests on vacation, children over the age of 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by a family member. Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets. Any violation of these policies will result in being asked to find other accommodations and no refunds will be issued.
